Thank you so much, my wonderful readers, for following my exploits over the last year.
Can you believe it has been that long?!?!? In looking back, I am still most proud of my very first blog post. It’s amazing what having the gift of time can do for creating something pride-worthy!
I am so glad I have this blog as a means of keeping myself grounded. It has been structure in my life over the last 12 months. It feels like so much has changed, so many and downs, yet ultimately I am in close to the same place I was when I started: I am still trying to find my next path and avoid getting too distracted along the way. It’s nice to have an opportunity to talk things through. Thank you all for being an excellent sounding board and shoulder to lean on when I have needed it.
The process of posting to the blog twice a week has taught me several lessons:
- If I’m doing something for fun, and it’s not fun, I’m doing it wrong!
- I’m not going to be the most popular blog, so get over that now! (That is easier to do knowing I am the most popular blog about me out there!)
- Despite #2, it feels much better when people actually read what I’ve written, rather than performing to a chorus crickets!
I like my current format (although not my theme so much – expect changes in that area soon) of twice a week, so I plan to continue that going forward. I don’t want to press my luck by over-Tammy-ing people! I absolutely loved my first guest blogging spot last week, and I have been invited back to that site any time I want to contribute. I also received an invitation to do a guest post about an incident I had lately involving obstinate strawberries not wanting to become jam at a very different kind of site, so I think I will be exploring those types of opportunities more and more.
So what is in store for the next year? I’m so glad you asked! I would love to have your feed back on what types of posts you like, what doesn’t work for you, any topics you’d like for me to cover, whether you think the occasional guest blogger on this site would be a good idea, or anything else you’d like to share with me. Feel free to comment below or send me an email at Tammy @ GrownUpNowWhat.com (without that extra anti-spammer spaces!).
Thanks again to all of you for following me in this adventure and inspiring me to keeping going. Even though I still feel no closer to answering the question “Now what?”, I am having a much more enjoyable stroll down the various life paths that I try with you by my side.
Ah yes, the now what moments we reach in our lives….I’m not so sure I know beforehand either. Do we always need a plan? And your now what question implies a sense of adventure to me. Looking forward to your next 12 months and I’m raising a glass to your first 12 months! Congratulations Tammy!
